What does Church look like right now with COVID-19?
We are currently all online! Our services are LIVE on Facebook at 9am Sunday Morning. Monday-Friday we are offering daily devotionals at 7am, Kid’s Corner with Courtney at 9am, and a recorded ZOOM interview with Lou at 2pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These are all posted and can be found on Facebook and YouTube!
What do I wear?
Come as you are. You want to dress down or up, we don’t mind. We want you to be comfortable. Chances our, our Pastors will be preaching in jeans. We value authenticity much more than dressing up.
Where do I go?
You may park on Main Street, all of the street parking in the downtown area, the parking lot on the corner of second and Locust just behind the First Security Bank building, as well as the bank parking lot behind the church on Locust (visit the “Contact Us” page for a map download). During our 9am service, all of our children’s classes will run in the lower level in addition to the multiple nurseries next to the sanctuary on the second floor. During the 10:45am service, we will have a nursery next to the sanctuary available to children Nursery-Kindergarten. Greeters will be sure to meet you at the door and help you find where you need to go. Also, be sure to stop by the Welcome Center at the entrance to grab some coffee or ask any questions.
What about my kids?
We value our children, and all children’s workers are high quality, trained, and there is a thorough registration system to ensure that your children are safe and cared for. While they are with us, they will experience the love of Jesus and the truth of the Bible in a fun, exciting, and practical way. Children’s Sunday School starts at 9:00am along with the service for all children birth to 6th grade. Children from Pre-K to 6th grade have classes in the lower level, while the nursery is on the second floor next to the sanctuary (head left when you get upstairs). There is also a high school small group that meets during the 9am service, and we encourage teens to participate in the 10:45am service.
Our pastors are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus as the central story taught through the accurate explanation of Scripture. Teaching is a primary aspect of our services and lasts around 40 minutes.
We typically do 5 worship songs, some before and some after the sermon. We have a modern contemporary style of worship. We value substance over style. We want God to get all the Glory during our worship services.
