Our children’s ministry mirrors the core values and overall purpose of Encounter. We strive to partner with our parents to reach the children where they are, teach them what it means to know and follow God, and unleash them to be a light in their community.
Nursery is upstairs just down the hall from the Worship Center The Nursery is for children birth through 3 year olds during the 9am service. At 10:45am, the nursery is open for children up through kindergarten age. Caring volunteers provide a warm, fun environment with toys, music, crafts, and a short lesson.
Our Pre- K class room is downstairs in the Lower Level.
Currently we have two elementary classrooms that meet downstairs in the Lower Level: God’s Garden (K-2nd) and the Dig (3rd- 6th).
Our curriculum is interactive, fun, exciting, and challenging. It integrates skits, video, games, music, and hands on activities to reach the various learning styles of the students.
This year God’s Garden’s class curriculum explores the question Who is God? They are discovering his authority, his love, and his strength as they dive into both the Old and New Testament.
The Dig class examines God’s faithfulness throughout time. They discover that he is faithful to reveal himself to us, redeem us, restore us, revive us, and renew us as they walk through the Bible. The children are challenged to respond to God’s faithfulness through love and obedience.
